World Mental Health Day
Quest Last week, on 10th October, we supported World Mental Health Day with our first ever pop up voting station. Our 6th form Shine Ambassadors and RISE Role-Models invited all year groups to consider 'which activity of school life, best supports you in making healthy choices for your mind and body'. Rugby League Training Festival
RISE Up and Shine The year 8 boys rugby team recently attended a Rugby League Training Festival at Kingston Park Stadium with a number of other school from across the region. The boys mixed with other schools to practice the rugby league skills of tackling, playing the ball and and passing. Exterminate!!
Learning Members of the monster maker’s club took a break from designing their own monsters and props to experience up close one of the universe’s greatest monsters, a Dalek! They took turns to get inside, have the top put on and operate the screen accurate replica prop complete with that unmistakable modulating robotic voice and flashing dome lights. The prop was built by Mr Phillips utilising the technologies and tools available to students in the DT department.

RISE Up and Shine U13 football team made a great start to the league campaign with a 1-1 draw vs a very strong Bede Academy team. Henry M scores the only goal and was POM!
