Quest

The Y7 geographers have demonstrated resilience and mutual respect while working together to plan and deliver their speeches about the decision of where to build new homes in Bedlington.

Throughout the task, they showed a positive, collaborative spirit, carefully listening to one another’s perspectives and weighing the pros and cons of different locations.

Despite the complexity of the issue, they remained focused and open-minded, showing determination in researching both human and physical features of the sites they considered. Each student took the time to explain their reasoning clearly, whether they were advocating for a specific location based on its proximity to schools, shops, or transport links, or pointing out the importance of preserving green spaces and minimising environmental impact.

This task not only honed their geographical knowledge but also nurtured their ability to collaborate thoughtfully and express their decisions confidently.
