Map-nificent! Geographers find their way to top grades
Quest Our GCSE cohort made the most of a slither of time between their hectic exam schedule, using "the big maps" of Newcastle to practice grid references, identifying land uses and measuring scale. They worked in groups, to solve challenges and find clues to secret locations. They sure did "plot" their way through some challenges and their efforts were off the "scale", no "lost" causes in this cohort. Well done!

Their first game of the evening was against a very tough Walbottle, who had an excellent defence and goalkeeper, we just couldn't manage to break them down. The game was very equal for the vast majority of the match, until Lucy Heatley scored a goal with 1 minute left to play. Result: St BB 1-0 Walbottle. Onto the 2nd

The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde - another book club recommendation
Quest The Year 12s met this week and it's another unanimous recommendation from us. Part philosophical, part gothic, its themes of vanity, influence, and self‑deception sparked a deep conversation that went beyond the novel. It’s certainly one that rewards close reading, and sharing perspectives made it feel even more powerful.

Jaime T, Corey B and Sam M all also made barn-storming breaks, leaving the opposition in their wake. Layton B, Adam H and Will R all scrummaged heroically, winning each and every battle. Our Journey of Lent
Faith Over the season of Lent, students in our Form classes have been creating beautiful symbolic “Trees of Transformation.” Each leaf and branch represents the ways they hope to grow in love, through kindness, forgiveness, patience, and acts of service. These trees reflect the journey of Lent: a time to pause, reflect, and consider how we can become more loving in our words and actions. As the trees have grown, so too have the students’ commitments to positive change. Their
