Rationale for Pupil Premium Spending

The main barriers to educational achievement faced by some disadvantaged pupils in our school are:

  • Gaps that have developed at the end of KS2 for pupils entering the school in Year 7.

  • In some cases low attendance rates and persistent absenteeism.

  • Poor dispositions to learning.

  • Lack of academic and career aspirations.
