Quest

The Y7/8 rugby team took on the challenge of a rugby league tournament, braving the elements and more experienced teams. However, they didn’t let any of that stand in their way.

Captain Archie Minnock epitomised the team with his resilience and respect, on and off the pitch.

Reo Wills was our top try scorer, storming through the opposition to collect 4 hard-earned tries. Henry Moore came agonisingly close to scoring, after running the length of the pitch, but was stopped just before the line by a (arguably illegal) pull back by the collar of his shirt. Harley Butters had a tremendous debut, making some superb runs down the wing, despite taking a few big hits!

In defence, Lincoln Stanbury tackled everything, stopping opponents dead in their tracks. Rhys Yellowley and Dylan Anderson also showed their strength as brick walls for our back line. Matthew Davison, Yaniv Grojean-Bradshaw and Caleb Johnson also gave fantastic accounts of themselves and their rugby abilities.
