Turning the Page on Summer, Stepping into Suspense

RISE Up and Shine

The Sixth Form Book Club gathered this week to share stories from a summer of independent reading and to welcome some enthusiastic new members from Year 12. With everyone choosing their own books over the holidays, we heard views on books as diverse as 'Brave New World' by Aldous Huxley, 'Germinal' by Emile Zola, 'The Ice at the End' by Jon Gerton and 'Times Testimony' by Linda Gillard.

Now, as the nights grow darker and spooky season approaches, the club is preparing for a chilling October with an anthology of Stephen King short stories. From eerie mysteries to unforgettable twists, our next read is sure to keep us turning pages long after bedtime!
