As thousands of music lovers leave Glastonbury each year, the fields are left scattered with abandoned tents—many of which are still in usable condition. These tents, often made from durable waterproof materials, usually end up in landfill. But what if they could be transformed into something new?

That’s exactly what Year 11 Business students explored during their Transition Day into Year 12, in a hands-on sustainability challenge that brought creativity and environmental awareness together. The challenge was to re-purpose a tent and design a new product from it.

With limited time and plenty of imagination, students came up with some impressive ideas, including:

  • Trampolines

  • Clothing

  • Umbrellas

  • Sleeping Bags
