RISE Up and Shine

Last week, our students in 8B gathered for an inspiring Celebration of the Word focused on the theme of resilience. In a world where challenges and setbacks are a part of everyday life, resilience is an essential quality that helps us not only survive but thrive.

The highlight of the morning was the recognition of 18 students who had excelled in their reading skills throughout the year. By showing resilience in their reading, these Year 8 students demonstrated that the ability to overcome difficulties and keep moving forward is a skill that will serve them not just in school, but throughout life.

The students were asked to write down a time where they had overcome resilience and how it brought them closer to God. These were handed to Mrs Lewis-Dale for her to read and celebrate how resilient our students really are. We hope that the inspiring stories will motivate all our students to approach their challenges with the same resilience, perseverance, and dedication.
