Year 10 are taking it to court!

Quest
During Quest Week, Year 10 got the chance to experience a court-like environment! They were given a fictional case and had to fill the roles of crucial parts of the legal system, like the defence, prosecution, ushers, judges and more.
During the trial, students had to take on new and challenging roles and were able to experience the atmosphere of a real court hearing. It allowed them to build on their oracy and questioning skills and reflect on the severity of law, knife crime and their actions.
Mr Taylor told us that “It allows students to consider their place in the world”, and Mr Winn explained that this activity “allowed the students to see the broader parameters of what we do in school”.
This is just another excellent example of year 10 putting brilliant effort into Quest week and immersing themselves in real world scenarios.
