RISE Up and Shine
On Wednesday 14th January, we hosted John Spence Community High School in Round 1 of the U13 Girls ESFA.
At half time, it was looking like a very close game with the score being 1-1. John Spence quickly scored in the second half, taking the score to 2-1. Our girls fought tirelessly to bring the score back to 2-2, and from then there was no stopping them. The match ended in a 10-2 win for us, meaning we progress to the next round of the cup.
The full team played brilliantly and worked hard right up to the final whistle. Player of the match goes to Lucy Heatley, who managed to score 6 of the 10 goals!
A special thanks must be given to Camren Lee (Y12) for refereeing the game with integrity, as well as Isaac Munnelly (Y10) and Essie Moody (Y12) for being the linesman and lineswoman and of course, Niamh Adams (Y12) for her continued support with the girls team, she hasn't missed a single match this year!
