Quest
On Tuesday 17th March, the U13 girls team travelled to Huddersfield to play round 5 of the National Cup.
At half time, the score was 2-1 and everything was still to play for, with both teams demonstrating some excellent football. A few adjustments and position changes were made to the team for the 2nd half, and we quickly found our break. The game ended in a 9-2 win, and we are through to the quarter-finals!
Whilst the result may look like our girls dominated the match, the score could have been a lot closer if it wasn't for some brilliant saves and decisions made by our goalkeeper, Erin Halton, who has really grew in confidence this season and is a key member of the team.
Goal scorers were Lucy Heatley (7), Niamh McCartney (1) and Katie Cunningham (1).
The referee's PoM went to Lucy! I would like to note that he complimented the girls on how they conducted themselves throughout the game, they represented the school, and Northumberland, in a brilliant light.
