The Year 13 English Language students are off to a great start

Over the summer, the class showed lots of self-discipline completing a range of challenges to review their learning.

So far this term, we’ve explored how the north-east’s sport of miners, pigeon racing, is represented in the national press, and we’ve begun our study of how children acquire language. There’s been a cross over with Psychology as we’ve learned about how humans and animals can be conditioned to behave in certain ways looking at some studies from the first half of the 20th century - and Sheldon ‘training’ Penny in The Big Bang Theory.

The course is a such an interesting one and gives us great insights into society, individuals and cultures.
