Learning
Our students enjoyed an unforgettable week in France, filled with learning, adventure and opportunities to practise their French.
On Monday, we visited Vimy Ridge and explored preserved First World War trenches, gaining a powerful insight into the experiences of those who fought there.
Tuesday brought beach activities, including beach art, dodgeball and pétanque, followed by a fascinating visit to a snail farm.
On Wednesday, students learned more about life on the Western Front at the Musée Somme 1916 before showing great resilience and determination on a high ropes course.
Thursday took us to Dieppe for some exploration, bread-making, circus skills and, for many, the chance to try snails at dinner!
Evenings were spent enjoying sports and friendly pétanque matches against the staff. Throughout the trip, students embraced every opportunity, supported one another and enthusiastically used French whenever possible. We are incredibly proud of how they represented the school.
