Celebrating the Sixth Form Paired Reading

RISE Up and Shine

On the 9th of July, we celebrated the success of our Sixth Form Paired Reading Program with a breakfast event in the LRC. This year, Sixth Form students have been meeting weekly with Year 7 and 8 students to share their love for reading and helping younger students improve their skills.

Through these weekly sessions, Sixth Formers have mentored their younger peers, introducing them to new books and genres, while also boosting their confidence. For many Year 7 and 8 students, having a role model has made reading a more enjoyable and rewarding experience.
