RISE Up and Shine

Billy Elliot rehearsals are well under way for our production in November. The students were performing extracts from the show for the parents at our year five and six open evening when a surprise guest appeared. Ellie Messenger is an ex student from St Benet Biscop who went to professional drama school in London and is now starring in professional shows on cruise ships around the world. Ellie played the role of Debbie in the last production of Billy Elliot at St Benets which was nine years ago. The students had heard about Ellie and her success and were over the moon when she came to watch the rehearsal and agreed to have a photograph taken.
