Faith

We are delighted to announce that Year 10 students Emily Fenwick and Millie Ward from St Benet Biscop Catholic Academy have been nominated as representatives on the St Benet Biscop Diocesan Youth Council. In this role, they will ensure young people are heard at a diocesan level, help guide the direction of the Church, provide a platform for students passionate about their faith to take action, and participate in activities streamed online, allowing young people of different ages and locations to engage.

Emily and Millie are excited to attend their first gathering on Saturday, 10th May 2025, at St. Mary’s Cathedral in Newcastle. This interactive session will introduce the vision for the Youth Council, provide a space for young people to share their ideas, and explore opportunities to take an active role in the Church’s mission.

We congratulate Emily and Millie on their nominations and wish them every success in their new roles.
