RISE Up and Shine
At the end of last term we took around 30 students to sing Christmas carols at our local care home, spreading festive cheer to the residents. Dressed in colourful Christmas costumes, we sang and danced to familiar Christmas carols, and some of the residents even joined us in the dancing, filling the room with joy and laughter. It was heart warming to see their faces light up as they reminisced about the Christmas carols they would have sung in their younger days. This experience not only brought smiles to the residents but also reminded our students of the importance of giving their time to others. It was a beautiful example of living out our school RISE values and the Catholic values of compassion and service, showing how small acts of kindness can make a big difference in the lives of others.
