Learning
Year 7 marked the 960th anniversary of Harold Godwinson’s death at the Battle of Hastings with a special online workshop hosted by the British Museum.
Using the famous Bayeux Tapestry, which is visiting from Normandy this year, students explored the events of 1066 and discovered how this pivotal battle changed England, shaping our culture and language for centuries to come.
Hosted by Claudia Winkleman, the live event brought history to life and linked perfectly with our current KS3 History unit, exploring the significance of 1066 and its lasting impact on life in England.
A fascinating opportunity to bring the past to life and discover how one moment in history helped shape our nation!
