U13 Girls Football

RISE Up and Shine

This week the girls played a further 2 fixtures in their league campaign.

They started the evening against a strong Ashington High team, who quickly scored, putting them in a 1-0 lead. The girls fought tirelessly for the full game but unfortunately couldn't find their breakthrough in the game. The game ended 1-0 to Ash High.

Our girls showed great resilience following their defeat and went on to beat Bedlington Academy 2-1 in a very tense game.

Playing without a full squad, the team showed up with a great attitude on the evening and should be proud of how they always conduct themselves. Player of the evening goes to Mya Swann, she played 2 faultless games and is a strong member of the team.

A special mention must go to Evie Hall (Y11) who came along and refereed for the evening, thanks Evie!
