U13 County Cup Play-offs

On the 29th April, the U13 girls football team travelled to Ponteland to play in the county cup play-offs, due to winning the East Northumberland League.

Their first game of the evening was against a very tough Walbottle, who had an excellent defence and goalkeeper, we just couldn't manage to break them down. The game was very equal for the vast majority of the match, until Lucy Heatley scored a goal with 1 minute left to play. Result: St BB 1-0 Walbottle.

Onto the 2nd game, we faced Chantry and quickly found our feet in this game. With another 2 goals from Lucy Heatley and some excellent team work and defending from the girls, the result ended St BB 2-0 Chantry.

Going into the final game of the evening, spirits were high and the team were feeling confident. We played North Gosforth, and Lucy found the back of the net twice more, leading us to another 2-0 victory.

The girls have qualified for the county finals night, which is due to be played at John Spence in late May.
