The power of talk - habits assemblies

Last week, the focus of our Celebration of the Word was oracy and the power of talk. After exploring why it's important to have a voice, students practised a teaching and learning strategy that is used in the classroom called 'Turn and Talk'.

Discussing themes such as should AI be banned and which fast food restaurant does the best burgers, students had the chance to become more familiar with Turn and Talk routines. We look forward to seeing this being used more in lessons over the coming months to help our students become confident, articulate and respectful communicators.
