Sophie is currently studying Children's Nursing at Northumbria University. She returned to talk to Year 11 and 12 Health and Social Care and Child Development students. Sophie discussed her journey from Sixth Form to university, university life, applications and finances.
In particular, students were inspired hearing how a year after leaving St Benet Biscop, she was now confidently visiting service users in their homes, working in A&E and working alongside multiple healthcare professionals. Students made the connection between their current studies and how this will prepare them for future careers and further education within the health and social care sector.
