Quest
Our year 12 Geographers had the fantastic opportunity to speak to Dr. Sammie Buzzard a lead lecturer from the Centre for Polar Observation and Monitoring. She fascinated us with her forensic knowledge of her explorations and enlightened us into just how they collect data and the implications for Planet Earth. On her latest all female crew to Greenland, she was using seismic waves to monitor ice density and fluidity on the Glacier. The photos she provided were informative educational and sometimes jaw dropping! A great way to spend a morning.
