Junior NBA League Basketball update

Over the last few weeks our Y7 and Y8 basketball teams have competed in the Junior NBA (National Basketball Association) League. This is our first year competing in the programme and we were assigned the team and strips for the Philadelphia 76ers.

The Y8s performed superbly winning three out of their 4 matches. Strong performances came from every single player but special mention to Henry Tong, Connor Bacon, Evie Yellowley and Dumebi Maduka.

Our Y7 didn't fare quite so well, with our star player, Leo McTeer, injured and coaching we ended up losing all matches to good opposition. Special mention to Will Wright who top scored. A big thank you to Michael Elliott in Y13 who coaches in our teams ably supported by Isaac Redpath in Y9.
