27 Year 8 Historians took part in a project led by academics from Newcastle University, in collaboration with the Soane Museum. They were introduced to the archives at Newcastle Library, had a taster lecture on corrupt voting practices in 18th century England but they also analysed William Hogarth's famous 'Humours of an Election' paintings. All pupils were a credit to the school with their behaviour but also their willingness to work with the academics in their project of using AI to interrogate the paintings. They all provided valuable feedback and were fully engaged in the process!
